This UNIF kimono was one of my favorite pieces of the spring/summer, so I’ve definitely been eager to find a way to incorporate it into my fall wardrobe. It’s basically just a glorified sweater duster (one of my favorite trends of the season), so there’s no reason the kimono, which is trending for spring (http://justjilli.com/2014/10/21/trend-report-memoirs-of-a-geisha/), can’t be worn year-round. I decided to pair mine with ripped denim, which toughens up the look a bit, and makes it feel more appropriate for fall – after all, ripped denim is one of fall’s biggest fashion trends! And I finished off the look with this gorgeous velvet turban, a gift from Kristin Perry (http://kristinperry.com) – the turban’s boho aesthetic works well with the kimono, and cute little hats that keep your head warm? Well, they’re always going to be in style this time of year! And there you have it! Ripped denim + cute turban = the perfect sidekicks to a kimono for fall!
