The last day of any festival is usually bitter-sweet: on the one hand, they usually save the best lineup for last, but on the other hand, you don’t have another day of music to look forward to… Sunday of Outside Lands was no exception, and also happened to be the coldest day of all. Sorry for the short hiatus… My boyfriend and I took a little trip to San Francisco for Outside Lands. Now, I’m no rookie when it comes to dressing for summer festivals, but deciding what to wear to Outside Lands proved something of a sartorial challenge; even to a born and bred Canadian, San Francisco can be downright cold in the summer! In the end, Saturday’s outfit consisted of layering denim cutoffs over thigh highs over tights, and pairing with a fairly basic black top. And because comfort is always one of my main concerns when it comes to festival dressing, I finished off the look with my favorite pair of Swarovski encrusted Doc Martens.
I’ve heard LA’s favorite mall, The Grove, described by some as ‘the happiest place on earth. ‘ While I can’t attest to that, it really is my happy place! On a hot summer afternoon in LA, I chose to keep it cool in a crop top and fluttery shorts. Then I accessorized with a thigh chain and cutout booties.
